Friday, February 17: Beer’n'Blogs, 8:30am to 4:30pm
Join us for this pre-conference day on the art of blogging. Learn how to set-up a Wordpress blog, attract readers and write for the web. Your gourmet lunch will be paired with craft beers from Penticton’s own Cannery Brewing.
8:30am: Check-in.
9am to 12pm: Wordpress 101 with Lorraine Murphy of Raincoaster.com.
12pm to 1:30pm: Lunch prepared by Okanagan Street Food, paired with selections from Cannery Brewing.
1:30pm to 3pm: Choose one of two concurrent sessions. Session A will be led by Lorraine Murphy and Cathy Browne: a case study on food blogging and photography. Session B will be led by Kathleen Rake, wine blogger and co-founder of Click Media Works on writing for the web.
3pm to 3:30pm: Refreshment break.
3:30pm to 4:30pm: We’ll finish the pre-conference day with a panel on blogging best practices, moderated by veteran journalist and writer Rick Rake, co-founder of Click Media Works, and featuring your instructors plus winemaker Bradley Cooper from Black Cloud Wine and Township 7 Winery, Lindsay Goertzen from Vashti Magazine, and Chris Mathieson, blogger, historian, and former executive director of the Vancouver Police Museum.
Friday, February 17: Friday Night Networking, 6pm to 9:00pm
The real fun begins! Join us for an evening of education, gourmet nibbles and live Twitter wine tasting with the award-winning wineries of the Naramata Bench. This is the event that trended on Twitter in Canada at the first Eat.Drink.Tweet. Come and experience a real, live, “tweetup” and network with your colleagues.
6pm to 6:30pm: Check-in.
6:30pm to 7:30pm: Keynote speaker Rob Duncan.

Social media has broken down the traditional barriers between companies, customers and competitors. We have rapidly moved from a world where keeping secrets was the key to winning, to one in which enlightened collaboration is the secret to success. Rob Duncan, author of the forthcoming book “Collaborative Intelligence” will reveal some of his recent findings and steer us toward a more collaborative and rewarding future.
7:30pm to 9:00pm: Live Twitter wine tasting. You are encouraged to eat…drink…and tweet!
Saturday February 18: 9am to 5:30pm
The learning continues with twelve seminars throughout the day, highlighted by a gourmet lunch prepared by Okanagan Street Food. Breaks are included, giving you plenty of time to network. Seminars will include:

Our final morning will bring everyone together in one room for three back-to-back unique sessions, with short breaks between each presentation.

11am: Get social now! A look ahead to the 2013 North American Wine Bloggers Conference and how it can grow everyone’s business, presented by Allison Markin
We’ll wrap up at 12pm and send you off into the world armed with the tools to eat, drink and tweet your way to social media success!
